The Top of The List
The primary regulation now becomes the prohibition of combining meat with milk.
Even when both the meat and the milk are kosher they are not to be mixed. Avoiding this mixture is the centerpiece of a kosher home.

The Rest of The List
In addition there are restrictions placed on foods that are derivatives. By that I mean any primary ingredient that is derived from other foods including

milk
cheese.
